Let me begin… I’m reading two books at the moment. The first one is The lost book of Judas, by Bart D. Ehrman. It’s actually not what I thought it would be, I was expecting a lot of discussion on the contents of the lost Gnostic Gospel. So far (nearly finished) it’s about how the manuscripts disintegrate in various hiding places and a who’s who of the underground relics trade. It’s an easy read, but alas I’d give it five rubber ducks out of ten.
The second is the Rowan of Rin series by Emily Rhoda. Love them! Just about to get to Rowan and Zebak so no spoilers please! My favourite thing about this series is the imagery used to describe the Bukshah. I read it at night and often imagine them standing around my daughter and I, just gently moving and making that lovely soothing noise through their giant nostrils. Eight rubber ducks out of ten.
